-'Essential Costa Rica' identifies Costa Rica as a country full of unique and special value, generated soley by people

The Export Promotion Agency of Costa Rica(PROCOMER) and the Embassy of Costa Rica in Korea presented its national brand, 'Essential Costa Rica'.

The conference was attended by Mr. Director for Pacific Asia Region of PROCOMER, Jose Pablo, Mr. Amb. of the Embassy of Costa Rica, Rodolfo Solano Quiros, Mr. Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Costa Rica Jairo Lopez, Ms. Trade Promotion Officer, So-hee Ahn, Mr. Director of FTA Negotiation Coordination Division of Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy, Hyouk-woo Kwon, and correspondents.

Its national brand, 'Essential Costa Rica' identifies Costa Rica as a country full of unique and special value, generated soley by people.

In our essence, there is a great richness of our land: a land rich in well-known beauty of nature in the world and delicious, colorful variety of fruits of fine quality, said Costa Rica Amb. Quiros. The land, although Costa Rica covers only 0.03% of the surface of the globe, shelters a 5% of the existing biodiversity in the entire world and with a population of 4,6 millions of people, produces and exports more than 4,500 products to 146 countries, he added.

As part of this new strategic partnership between Korea and Costa Rica, on April 18, this Monday, the Office for Commercial Promotion of the Embassy of Costa Rica in Korea officially began work.

Costa Rica, with other countries of Central America, maintain negotiations with Korea, tending to sign an FTA, which would allow to open a number of opportunities for commercial promotion and attraction of external investment.
